Xiaomi is expanding: Xiaomi is set to open 3 plants. The Chinese company, Xiaomi will open 2 new mobile manufacturing plants and 1 for television plants in India. Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s India head and global President, said in an interview that 99% of smartphones and 100% of television will now be manufactured in India.
The company partnered with DGB which is conducting the plant in Haryana and others will be set up by BYD in Tamil Nadu. BYD India is predicted to contribute to the production capacity once its operations start by the first half of 2021. Xiaomi is expanding
The television company already has a plant in Tirupati with Dixon technology. Now, with a new plant which will be set up in Tamil Nadu, 100% of sold TVs will be manufactured in India.
