The Chinese Giant well known in its TV business, Xiaomi has started selling its devices globally. With the success of their phones, they have also become famous when it comes toMi TV 5X 43 Metallic Grey The recently launched MI-TV 5X is one of them. Today we are reviewing this 43 inch TV which will cost you only Rs 39,999/- in the market.
Design:
The Mi TV 5X has a metallic design and it looks premium. The bezels around the display are thin and the overall build quality is very good. You can see the Xiaomi branding at the bottom of the TV. There are also two downward firing speakers on either side of the logo. The back panel is also metallic and the connections ports are placed at the back. The TV has a very sleek design and you can mount this on a wall as well.
Specifications:
This TV has a 43 inch LED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. It comes with an IPS panel which delivers good color production and it also has a viewing angle of 178 degrees. The TV supports HDR10 and HLG content. It is powered by a quad-core Amlogic S905X SoC clocked at 2GHz. The TV has 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. You can also expand the storage up to 128GB via an external microSD card.
The TV is very slim and it comes with two downward firing speakers on either side of the logo. The back panel is also metallic and you can mount this on a wall as well.
Performance:
This TV runs Xiaomi’s Mi TVOS which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The user interface is smooth and it has a lot of pre installed apps. You can use the Video App to stream content from popular services like Hotstar, Voot etc. You also get Chrome browser and Google play store so you can install any app you want on this TV. We tested this out with Netflix and we were able to stream 4K content without any issues. The TV also supports HDR10 and HLG content.
The sound quality is good and the bass is decent. You can also adjust the sound settings according to your preference. The TV has a built-in IR Blaster which you can use to control other devices like air conditioners, fans etc. Overall, the Mi TV 5X 43 is a good 4K smart TV which delivers good picture quality and it also supports HDR.
