Mi TV 4X 108cm (43) Review

Read Time:2 Minute, 25 Second

The Mi TV 4X 108cm (43) inch Android TV with a high-end processor, an unbelievable price and a few quirks. I have been running one as my main TV for the last three months to find out what it’s really capable of.

Picture Quality

The Mi TV 4X’s display is absolutely stunning. It has a resolution of 1920×1080, which is more than enough for a 43 inch TV. Colors are bright and vibrant, and the picture is incredibly sharp. Even when displaying high-resolution content like 4K videos, there is no noticeable pixelation or blurring.

The only downside to the TV’s display is that it can be a bit too bright at times. This is especially true when watching movies or shows in a dark room; the screen can be quite blinding. However, this can easily be fixed by lowering the brightness level in the TV’s settings.

Sound Quality

The Mi TV 4X has a single built-in speaker that is surprisingly good. It has plenty of volume and sounds clear and crisp. The only downside is that it doesn’t have much bass, so if you’re planning to use the TV as a sound system for your games or as a music player, then it’s best to hook it up to a better speaker via the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The built-in microphone works surprisingly well too. I tested this by asking random people in my building whether they could hear me over the TV’s speaker, and they all said they could. This is great for using the Mi TV 4X as a makeshift Google Home or Alexa device.

Apps and Operating System

The Mi TV 4X runs on Android TV 8.0, which is a custom version of Android specifically designed for TVs. It has a simple, clean interface that’s similar to the one found on the Amazon Fire TV and Android TV boxes like the Nvidia Shield. The main menu has nine sections: Home, App Store, Mi Video, Mi Music, Live TV, Timer/Sleep Mode settings, Children’s Corner (parental controls), Channel List and Settings.

Connectivity:

The Mi TV 4X has a wide range of connectivity options. It has three HDMI ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and an AV port. It also comes with a Bluetooth remote that has a built-in microphone for voice commands.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Mi TV 4X 108cm (43) is an excellent TV. Its picture quality is top-notch, its built-in speaker is good, and it has a wide range of connectivity options. It also comes with Android TV 8.0, which is a great operating system. The only downside is that it can be a bit too bright at times.

If you’re looking for a high-quality 43 inch TV that doesn’t cost a fortune, then the Mi TV 4X is definitely worth considering.
